It seems Apple is finally taking a stand against child labor. Given the extraordinary, and constant, demand for Apple products, many assembly line employees in China are often well under the age of 16. But things are about to change.

Public outbreak in China over child labor has caused Apple to put a stop to children on the assembly line. Agencies that act as middlemen were providing underage employees not legally allowed to work, Apple asserting that much of the problem was due to "dishonest third-party labor agents [conspiring] to corrupt the system."

But finally the tech giant is taking the right steps by trying to end its reprehensible labor practices. For the kids, indeed.
