A neoGAF user by the name of shagg_187 posted the above image on the message board site last night, claiming that the PS Vita will only display 100 apps—any more and you get the message you see on the screen.
Shagg said that the Vita in question still had 9GB left on its memory stick, but refused to install any more apps. Obviously this is a weird and seemingly arbitrary limit, like Microsoft's 100-friends limit on Xbox Live, and it sort of blunts the point of digital distribution.
We've reached out to Sony to confirm whether the report is accurate and find out if they ever plan to remove the restriction, but a Sony spokesperson said they have nothing to share at this time.
What's stranger—that the PS Vita has a limit of 100 apps, or that it took this long for us to realize?
