Sony announced today that a new streaming video app from Epix, a "premium entertainment network" available to cable subscribers, will become available on PS3 and PS Vita some time this spring.
Check out the video above to see some of what Epix has to offer. All told, they claim to have over 3,000 movies, TV shows, sporting events and more, including content from Lionsgate, Paramount and MGM. Much like HBO Go, though, it seems you'll need to have an Epix account through your cable provider to get access to the on-demand content on PlayStation devices.
Hulu Plus isn't yet avaiable on PS Vita, and even Netflix is lagging in some countries—yet here comes Epix. What do you think?
