For some reason, it seems that TLC has opted to renew their reality series Breaking Amish, despite the controversy that surrounded it during its first season - specifically, the controversy sparked by the Internet discovering that pretty much every cast member had lied about their lives. Hey, who actually expects their reality television to be "real," anyway?
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the network has renewed the series for eight hour-long episodes that will follow the lives of the five cast members we were introduced to in season one. This time, instead of sending the group to the sleepless streets of NYC, the series will ship them off to the sunny beaches of Florida to experience "more culture shock, financial woes, in-fighting and surprise visits." And probably lies because seriously, these guys lied about everything.
The first season of the series apparently averaged an impressive 3.2 million viewers for the network. New episodes are being eyed for a May premiere.
