Now that casting is totally underway for Disney's upcoming Boy Meets World spin-off, Girl Meets World, we're slowly learning more details about the new characters that will be involved in the project. The latest update: In addition to a young daughter named Riley, who will be portrayed by 11-year-old actress Rowan Blanchard, Cory (Ben Savage) and Topanga (Danielle Fishel) will also have a 13-year-old son named Elliott.
Though no one's been cast in the role just yet, we do have the detailed character description, thanks to EW:
None
Additionally, the series is also looking for a child genius character named Shamus - who sounds like he's going to be a variation of the original series' Minkus, because he's described as a "future world ruler" - and a good-looking transfer student from Texas named Tristan who will be a "cowboy in the city"-type.
The pilot of Girl Meets World is set to go into production next month, and if all goes to plan, Disney will officially pick up the series for the 2013-14 season - something that's already looking like a done deal. This may very well be the best show ever.
