Charlie Sheen thinks he can help his fellow celebrity trainwreck Lindsay Lohan. Lohan was back in court on Friday to try and get the charges from her June 2012 car crash dropped.

Not only did her new lawyer fail to get the charges of lying to the police, reckless driving, and obstruction of justice dismissed, the judge called him "incompetent." He said Lohan either has to get a new lawyer or waive her right to competent counsel. Ouch!

Her pal Charlie Sheen, whom she stars with in the upcomingScary Movie 5, told TMZ that he can save Lohan. "I have a kinship with somebody who clearly needs a mentor, whether she wants one or not," he said. "She can continue to hang out with her dress shredding club buddies, or turn to me for some advice from a guy who's been down the road as well as every other side trail on the journey."

It's true that Sheen has probably done everything Lindsay has (and more), but he's not exactly out of the woods himself. This would be more convincing coming from somebody like Robert Downey, Jr., who very publicly battled addiction and self-destruction in the 90s, but got clean and came out on top.

Sheen also said that they've never hooked up—he just wants to help her as a friend. "I love her, I respect her, and I've never laid a finger on her that wasn't on film. How ya like me now, America?"

Lindsay's back in court March 18 to face the aforementioned charges.
