Telltale Games Adapts Vertigo Series "Fables" For a Summer Release

Bigby Wolf gets his own starring role.

Hopefully by this point you've finished Telltale Games near perfect adaptation of Robert Kirkman's The Walking Dead.

The episodic title ended 2012 by sweeping up a ton of game of the year awards and now they've set their sights on Vertigo's Fables series. Obviously, trying to cram all of the characters in the Fables world in one game would be impossible, Telltale has decided to focus on one character in particular. Any guesses who that might be?

"Developing The Wolf Among Us based on the Fables universe has allowed our studio to build upon all of the hallmarks of what makes our episodic series so engaging for players," Telltale CEO Dan Connors told IGN. "Through an evolution of our approach to choice and consequence, we can further explore the complexity of each and every iconic character in a universe rich with untold history from the darkest sides of the storybooks."

Bigby Wolf keeps all of the Fables in check as they live their lives in the neighborhood of Fabletown, the community of exiles living in New York City. If this title is anything close to as good as The Walking Dead, we are all in for a massively awesome summer.

It drops this Summer on Xbox 360, PC, Mac and PS3.
