Dexter may be coming to an end this year, but the finale may not be the last we see of the characters. According to The Huffington Post, Showtime president David Nevins revealed that, though there's "there's nothing actively happening" in terms of a spinoff, he "won't [rule out]" one that focuses on Deb (Jennifer Carpenter).

"This is a core franchise to us and all options are on the table as to where it could go after this," he explained in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. "We need to get through this season and see how the dust settles and then see where we go from there." No word on exactly what a spinoff centered around Deb would actually entail, other than - obviously - a ton of cursing.

Season eight of Dexter will premiere on June 30th. You can check out the first teaser clip for the premiere episode here.
