Julie Uhrman is a woman of her word. In early March, during her keynote at SXSW Interactive, she said, "I want to open up the world of TV gaming again. Ouya says anybody with a great idea can do it. And now there is a path to it.”

The open-source gaming console, which surpassed its $950,000 Kickstarter goal in one day (the final total was $8.6 million!) and is said to change the future of gaming technology, also supports streaming video and audio content through its partnerships with Vevo and iHeartRadio.

With a minimal user interface, Ouya currently has 60 games for preview, but Uhrman predicts the console will have over 100 games by June, when it will be released to the public.

"If you want to make Ouya your entertainment media center, you can," Uhrman says.
