In an effort to further get into the cable scripted series race, The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that A&E has picked up another drama to add to their schedule next season. We told you about this pilot late last year - titled Those Who Kill, the drama is based on a Danish format inspired by Elsebeth Egholm novels, and it stars Chloë Sevigny as a workaholic detective who tracks down serial killers while battling her own anger and sadness. A lengthy plotline will surround her character's suspicions that her own stepfather is a serial killer as well.

James D'Arcy also stars in the series as a forensic psychiatrist who works closely with Sevigny's character.

"Those Who Kill is not a crime procedural about serial killers - it’s a deep serialized character portrait of two compelling yet damaged individuals coming together through the revelation of their dark past," A&E Network and BIO Channel president and general manager Bob DeBitetto commented on the pick-up. "We are thrilled to have such an incredible cast and crew signed on to this project and the result should be an absolutely riveting series."

The Grey's Joe Carnahan directed the pilot. The series has been picked up for ten episodes, and, with production beginning this fall, it should premiere some time in 2014. We expect lots of pretty cinematography and brooding stares.
