Director Nicolas Winding Refn's follow-up to Drive, Only God Forgives, isn't set to be released until July 19th, but luckily it doesn't look like we're going to have a lack of promotional material until then. In addition to the two new stunning teaser trailers released last week, The Film Stage has posted a whopping 11 new stills from the film, as well as a new teaser poster featuring star Ryan Gosling looking all intimidating and stoic.
The stills don't give much away in terms of plot, but they're still intriguining nonetheless. Only God Forgives follows the story of a man (Gosling) who, after his brother is murdered, is implored by his drug kingpin mother (Kristin Scott Thomas) to seek revenge by killing a man called the Angel of Vengeance (Vithaya Pansringarm). Unlike Drive, which was set in the sleepless streets of Los Angeles, Only God Forgives takes place against a dream-like, neon-lit backdrop of Bangkok.
