Looks like it's going to be an Xbox kind of morning. According to multiple sources, Microsoft is planning on launching their new console with Ryse and a new Forza title.

Granted these are only going to be a small sampler of what Microsoft will be launching with, but these two are named and confirmed. We can't muster up all that enthusiasm for a racing game, we're sure Forza will look great, but, come on. Which leaves us with Ryse. Originally given a trailer at E3 in 2011,

"Ryse is designed to be Microsoft's new Gears of War / Halo mega launch title. It's set in the Roman Empire period and uses deep Kinect integration to allow players to slash and kick at enemies."

But, that was 2011 you might say. Well, "Crytek, along with Microsoft Studios, has been rewriting the game to take advantage of its next-generation console, due later this year."

This doesn't strike us as 'mega launch' fare, but we could be wrong. It would also seem that Microsoft is doing away with Microsoft points in lieu of real cash transactions in the next- gen leap. Watcht the trailer and let us know what you think.
