AMC's little show that could, The Killing, will return to television for a third season on June 2nd with a two hour premiere, the LA Times is reporting.
The series was given official reprieve from cancellation late last year, despite a troubled two season run that was plagued with low ratings and criticisms of plotlines. It's since undergone some changes - including a one year time jump and the addition of perpetually creepy-looking Peter Sarsgaard as a villain - so there's a little hope yet for its creative direction. A little. The third season will reportedly focus on a new case that will be resolved within ten episodes.
