The University of California, Irvine fraternity who caused a recent uproar over a blackface incident has elected to suspend itself until the Fall of 2014. The trouble began when a video of Lambda Theta Delta members performing Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake's "Suit & Tie" emerged, complete with one member wearing blackface. Why would anyone think that's a wise thing to do, let alone film?

On Wednesday, Lambda Theta Delta released the following statement:

None

Disciplinary action may be taken by the university pending an internal investigation. The Los Angeles Timesreports that the Lambda Theta Delta members involved were unaware that blackface is considered racist. What boulder of ignorance are they living under?
