A tornado tore through Moore, OK yesterday, leveling homes, businesses and everything else standing in its path. At least 51 casualties were originally reported, but Oklahoma City Medical Examiner's office spokeswoman Amy Elliott now says that another 40 bodies have been moved to the office, increasing the death toll to 91. At least 20 children have already been confirmed dead.

There were two elementary schools resting in the tornado's path, which featured winds of up to 200 miles per hour. Rescue teams continue to dig through Plaza Towers Elementary School's rubble, where children are still believed to be trapped in the wreckage.

According to ABC News, the first tornado warning was issued at 2:40 p.m., just 16 minutes before it touched down. It's estimated that the tornado spanned at least half a mile in width and remained on the ground for 40 devastating minutes. In May 1999, one of the most destructive tornadoes in U.S. history also struck Moore, killing 42 people.

President Obama, who will address the nation at 10 a.m., has declared Oklahoma a major disaster area.
