A onetime New York University professor was arrested in Brooklyn last week for yelling at a dog and throwing a mysterious liquid at a woman. On Friday morning, 30-year-old Hans Shmidheiser reportedly accosted a man walking his dog, picking the animal up and asking it "What the f*** is your name?" Horrified, the dog's owner ran off and phoned police.

Later than morning, Shmidheiser approached a woman saying "he wanted to go to the hospital because he was drinking a lot of blood." In a shocking move, he poured a red substance on the woman, claiming that it was blood. Luckily, it was only fruit punch.

Shmidheiser was charged with menacing and harassment. He taught at NYU for four years while earning his Ph.D in mathematics.
