20 Exclusives and 12 new franchises coming to PlayStation 4.

Sony's first-party studios have 30 games in development for the new PlayStation 4.

20 of those titles are to be released in the first year, and 12 of those are entirely new franchises.

Sony Entertainment Europe CEO, Jim Ryan, told Gamereactor that more titles will be announced at Gamescom in August. As of now, the exclusives list is already loaded with DriveClub, Knack, the new Killzone: Shadow Fall, Infamous: Second Son and The Order: 1886.

On announcing the Xbox One last month Microsoft revealed that it will be releasing 15 exclusive games in the first year of which eight would be new franchises. So, in the battle of quantity Sony at least looks to be in the lead.
