The New York Times profiled literary playboy Luke Janklow this weekend, and amid tales of the Beastie Boys and sabering champagne bottles lies a little-known fact: Anderson Cooper was a teenage badass.

Janklow and Cooper went to Dalton together and, both being scions of famous families, have been friends since childhood. "He would pick up Anderson like a snowball and throw him into a bean bag,” Janklow's sister said. “They both thought it was the most amusing thing." We can just picture Cooper erupting into a fit of giggles.

The best part, though, is that Cooper offhandedly says the two were once "reprimanded" by police for lighting fireworks in Central Park. These days you'd probably get more than a stern talking to, but we love the image of a mischievous Anderson Cooper.

Can the Times please interview more of Cooper's friends? We're sure this is just the tip of the iceberg.
