Good news: 2013's best comedy (so far), This Is the End, is already doing excellent in theaters. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the ensemble comedy raked in about $2.2 million after opening in select theaters at 7 PM last night. This puts it on track to earn at least $30 million over the next few days, which is excellent news considering the film's budget was around $32 million.

The film was directed by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, its major cast is comprised of Rogen, Jonah Hill, James Franco, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, Jay Baruchel, and Emma Watson—to name a few. Oh, and they all play themselves hilariously trying to survive an apocalypse, and fight for the last Milky Way bar.

As for the biggest competition it faces—Man of Steel, the new Superman film, is set to roll into theaters on Thursday.
