Though Capcom’s devotion to Mega Man in the modern day often seems somewhat questionable, a slew of classic Game Boy and GB Color titles are getting Virtual Console releases on the 3DS, just in time for the Blue Bomber’s 25th anniversary.
From Game Boy ports of original Mega Man’s II-V are making their way to the 3DS’ e-shop, along with Mega Man Xtreme and Xtreme 2 for the Game Boy Color. No news yet as to whether any of these releases will be getting any kind of bonus treatment to honor the little guy’s birthday, but for old-school fanatics the punishment may be worth just as much (if not more). In any case, the game’s hit the e-shop later this year.
