Rashida Jones and Rob Lowe Are Leaving "Parks and Recreation," Because Life Isn't Fair

Noooooooooooooooo.

This is literally the most troubling and confusing TV news all day. It's difficult to even process this. "Rashida Jones and Rob Lowe are leaving Parks and Recreation"...it just...it doesn't compute. What is going on? What is life?

According to Buzzfeed, longtime Parks and Rec stars Jones and Lowe will be leaving the comedy show next year, likely during the 13th episode (just in time for February sweeps). Their characters, Ann Perkins and Chris Traeger were last seen trying to have a child together, so it does make sense they'd take off together, but seriously—why have them leave at all? Ann's friendship with Leslie Knope is one of the biggest backbones of the show. Take that away, and you're taking away half of the show.

Also, who will fill the show's "literally" quota?

Ugh. This is terrible news. Now, if you'll excuse us, we're going to remain happily in the first stage of grief, and pretend that this story never happened. Denial, keep us sane.
