Shocking truths are always uncovered accidentally. During an attempt to make a lesson in "Consumer Math" more relatable to his students, upstateNew York math teacher Dan Anderson and his class stumbled upon a surprising revelation: "Double Stuf" Oreos may not actually be double stuffed.

Students were split into two groups to measure the height and weight of the cookies. The class weighed 10 cookies with and without the little chocolate discs, then used equations to determine that Double Stuf Oreos are only 1.86 times bigger than their regular counterpart, falling a bit short of doubling them in size.

Anderson said his students "were surprised," and "probably [debated] whether or not to create their own hugely stuffed Oreos." Meanwhile, a spokeswoman for Nabisco said the students' findings were inaccurate, insisting that the Double Stuf contains twice the creme filling of the regular Oreo.

Only Moreos can squash this.
