Everything looked fine a second ago: Stephen Colbert booked Daft Punk for the Colbert Report, and everything was going to go perfectly. Then, Daft Punk canceled, instead chosing to make an appearance at the MTV VMAs. So, Colbert improvised, brought out Daft Punk's "Get Lucky," and made the magic happen—along with Jeff Bridges, Hugh Laurie, Matt Damon, Henry Kissinger (what?!), Jimmy Fallon, Bryan Kranston and the Rockettes.

Guess things really do work out after all.
