The American Idol season 13 judge panel is almost set. Harry Connick Jr, best known as Will Smith's friend who dies in Independence Day (but also as an accomplished singer and pianist), is in final talks to be the third judge alongside a returning Keith Urban and Jennifer Lopez. Connick, a huge fan of the show, has already appeared twice in previous seasons as a guest mentor. The news is expected to be confirmed later this weekend.
