First things first: It looks like that long-rumored Goosebumps adaptation is indeed happening. According to TheWrap, Sony Pictures has enlisted Gulliver's Travels director Rob Letterman to direct a film adaptation of the R.L. Stine book series that defined the reading lists of most kids who grew up in the '90s—and, apparently, Jack Black is in serious negotiations to star.

It's not confirmed who he'd be playing—or even what the film would be about—but a "source" close to the film did have this to tell TheWrap:

None

Just speculation, yes, but this idea doesn't seem out of the question—it would allow the film to include a few of the books instead of choosing one or making it into some sort of anthology film. We'll have more information on this as it becomes available.
