Call of Duty: Ghosts wants your harddrive, all of your harddrive. PC gamers take note because this years CoD system requirements have gotten a huge bump up from last year. You can blame next-gen consoles for the massive system increase.

Nvidia has released the minimum system requirements for Infinity Wards' Call of Duty: Ghosts the next-gen console-centered shooter. Last year's release, Call of Duty: Black Ops II, required 4GB of RAM memory and about 10GB of harddrive space. This year Ghosts is going to gobble-up 6GB of RAM memory and a whopping 50GB of your harddrive.

Here are the complete minimum required specs for Ghosts:

OS: Windows 7 64-Bit / Windows 8 64-Bit
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8200 2.66 GHZ / AMD Phenom X3 8750 2.4 GHZ or better
RAM: 6GB RAM
HDD: 50GB Hard Drive space
Video: Nvidia GeForce GTX 550 Ti / ATI Radeon HD 5870 or better
Sound: DirectX Compatible Sound Card
DirectX 11
Internet: Broadband connection and service required for Multiplayer Connectivity. Internet connection required for activation.

So why does CoD need 50GB? The increased texture size and accommodation of higher resolution displays, features of the next-gen consoles (Xbox One and PlayStation 4) are to blame for the huge memory increase. If you're looking forward to the PC version of Call of Duty: Ghosts check your systems and make note, start clearing off that harddrive.
