Have you ever been curious about the dominance of chains like McDonald's, Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts in a city the size of New York City? Well this interactive map shows where every one of The Big Three is located in the city—well, almost every one.

Created by Dan Nguyen, the map is part of a lesson to demonstrate how to use Google Fusion Tables to translate data into visual masterpieces like you see above. It makes visual learning fun.

The map uses Health Department data from right up to the start of October. We say that it includes almost every one of these chains because, as Gothamist notes, there's a Dunkin' Donuts on Bedofrd Avenue that opened past the cutoff date for data.

The green dots represent Starbucks, the yellow represent McDonald's and the brown are every Starbucks. Have fun with this one.
