When you're a struggling company looking for that game-changer device that will turn everything around, releasing a crazy expensive phone probably wouldn't be in your plans. But the Canada-based BlackBerry is the kind of company that will scream YOLO like a boss when times are at their bleakest.

The company, that recently took itself off of the market after looking for potential buyers to help save it from itself, teamed up with Porsche Design to create the P'9982, a Z10 that's made of stainless steel and Italian leather, which comes with a unique BBM Pin that lets everyone know that it's a Porsche edition Z10. From the BlackBerry website:

Enjoy a customized Porsche Design user interface (UI), which includes a premium Porsche Design PIN, unique to your P'9981 smartphone from BlackBerry, to help you easily identify other P'9981 from BlackBerry users around you.

Because, you know, if you've spent $2,400 on a phone, you're going to want everyone to know you have bad taste in phones you're rich.

Yet, they might have let the phone slip a little early as there seems to be some bugs with website. When we tried "buying" the phone through Porsche, it just gave us a 404 page.

And when we try to check out more accesories for the phone, there's another 404 page that appears through BlackBerry's site:

The only bright spot in seems to be that BlackBerry upgraded the Z10's storage to 64GB, but other than that, everything else is the same. The same 2GB of RAM, BB10 operating system, and 1.5 GHz dual-core processor. The phone will make its debut at London's Harrods department store for £1,500 ($2,400).

Like a real Porsche, they could have at least gave this phone a new engine to justify its cost. Oh, well.
