Here’s some good news for people with poor eyesight who don’t mind looking like tools in public: prescription lenses are coming to Google Glass soon.

Writing on his Google+ page, Venture Glass partner Tim Moore revealed that the wearable computers will be upgradeable with “custom prescription, fashion, and sport lenses” beginning early next year. This will reportedly include tinted and transition lenses, and matching color wire frames. The lenses are being produced by Rochester Optical, which does not have an official relationship with Google.

The New York Times reported earlier this year that Warby Parker was due to collaborate with Google in an effort to make Google Glass more stylish. But until that partnership is confirmed, Rochester Optical will have to do.
