Major League Gaming Championships Start Today (Video)

First ever "COD: Ghosts" tournament

Staring tonight, November 22 at 5pm ET, Major League Gaming (MLG) kicks-off the MLG Championships on MLG.tv. It’ll feature the first-even Call of Duty: Ghosts competitive play and the largest Dota 2 competition outside of the developer Valve’s own International.

Ghosts and Dota 2 players will battle it out for more than $170,000 in prizes all broadcast like on MLG’s new platform, MLG.tv. Check out the video above for a preview.

The three-day event will also feature Call of Duty: Ghosts developer, Infinity Ward, debuting its new Broadcaster Mode which allows players to customize private matches to eSports rules and sharpen up their game. The Championships will include MLG’s first Dota 2 competition. Gamers have contributed to the Dota 2 prize pool by purchasing the MLG Championship Dota 2 Bundle. Since the bundle’s release a few weeks ago the prize pool as increased from $50,000 to $120,000 thanks to fan support.
