If Mariah Carey looked miserable during her short stint on American Idol earlier this year, there's a simple explanation for that: She was. (Despite that, you know, $18 million paycheck.) In a new interview with Hot 97's Angie Martinez, Carey revealed that she "hated" every second she was on Idol, mostly due to that highly publicized feud with fellow judge Nicki Minaj. Well, it's better to just let her tell you all...

None

WELP. OK, then.

Carey doesn't exactly say which judge was the satanic one, but it's fairly obvious that she's referring to Minaj—during the first auditions of the season, the two got into a huge fight that just happened to be caught on camera, and things weren't reported to have gotten better after that. Sidenote, who else just thought of this album cover while reading her statements?

At the very least, Carey did enjoy one thing about Idol: "You know what I loved? I loved the contestants," she said. "And some of them that were so good—and also really good people, you could tell—it was disappointing when [the judges] would, for political reasons, not put people through."
