Vending machines just got classy in England. Department store Selfridges has taken to selling small bottles of Moët & Chandon from a machine in its Christmas section. The machine dispenses 200-milliliter bottles for $29, a marketing bullet clearly aimed at amateur buyers if you consider the fact that 200 milliliters is barely a glass-and-a-half. Still, the novelty of being able to purchase a bottle of champagne from a vending machine will coax money out of customers—especially around the holidays. Novelty sells.
