Commuters in Moscow can ride the train for free—if they're willing to do a little exercise.

As part of a dual plan to promote healthy living and the Olympic Games in Sochi, the city's metro system has installed a machine that dispenses one free ticket per person in exchange for 30 squats. It's probably not ideal for anyone in a rush, though it could be a really good workout in that scenario.

This should also encourage anyone too shy to go to the gym to shed their fears and excess weight, because the squats must be performed in front of the machine and other travelers.

Anyone too lazy or proud to play along can pay the standard 30 rubles to ride the subway, but the machine will stay at the Vystavochaya station until Dec. 3, tempting passengers with free rides for the next few weeks.
