"VGX" Announces This Year's Award Nominees and a Stream-Only Show

Formerly, the Spike Video Game Awards, the VGX has announced that it will no longer be broadcasting on TV screens but will instead go with an internet stream via select partners. This year's VGX will broadcast December 7 at 6pm (ET) on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Twitch, Hulu, Yahoo, Xbox One along with:

According to a press release from VGX, close to 50 video game franchises are up for awards including Grand Theft Auto V, BioShock Infinite, The Last of Us, Tomb Raider and Super Mario 3D World

It should be known that all of the VGX nominees are determined by the VGX Advisory Council which is made up of video game journalists from outlets like Entertainment Weekly, Game Informer, Joystiq, Kotaku, Polygon, IGN, GameTrailers, Gamespot, Wired, USA Today and the Associated Press. So if your favorite game doesn't win, Don't yell at us.
