It looks like Robert Rodriguez is moving forward with plans for a TV show based on his 1996 film with Quentin Tarantino, From Dusk 'Till Dawn: According to The Hollywood Reporter, the series has enlisted Wilmer Valderrama to star in the series as a crime lord, alongside D.J. Cotrona and Zane Holtz as the infamous Gecko brothers (who were portrayed by George Clooney and Tarantino in the film).

Valderrama's character will reportedly be Carlos Madrigal, a "master villain and crime lord" who just so happens to be a former Spanish Conquistador. Delightful. In addition to Cotrona, Holtz, and Valderrama, Don JohnsonJesse Garcia, and Eiza Gonzalez (a.k.a., Liam Hemsworth's post-Miley Cyrus lady love) will also star.

As previously reported, the series is set to premiere sometime next year on the El Rey Network, which was founded by Rodriguez and Univision. The From Dusk 'Till Dawn series will be the network's first original scripted show, but it's expected that more will follow once the network officially launches next month.

No word on if any of the original film's cast—which included Clooney, Tarantino, Juliette LewisHarvey KeitelSalma Hayek, and Danny Trejo—will be making any appearances.
