EA Under Investigation For Possibly Misleading Investors Over "Battlefield 4"

Did EA lie to investors and analysts about Battlefield 4 before its release? That's what one law firm wants to know. The Atlanta-based firm Holzer Holzer and Fistel, LLC has opened an investigation to determine whether or not EA misled company shareholders – a violation of federal securities law –about the quality or status of the game, which has faced a litany of problems since its initial launch in late October.

The firm urges anyone who bought common stock in EA or incurred investment loss from the company between July 24 and December 4 to contact the firm's attorney Marshall P. Dees for information on legal rights.

Since its launch, Battlefield 4 has suffered numerous bugs and glitches, including a bug that erased players' campaign data, as well as locking players out of 64-person multiplayer matches. DICE has since stated that no expansions for the game will be released until the core game is functionally stable.
