Last year Valve announced that it would enlist multiple third-party companies to build its upcoming next-gen alternative console, the so-called Steam Machine.
Engadget reports from the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas that Alienware, Falcon Northwest, CyberPowerPc, Origin PC, Gigabyte, Materiel.net, Webhallen, Alternate, Next, Zotac and Scan Computers are just some of the first vendors that will support Valve's Steam Machines, by either building their own Machines or upgradable components.
Gaming PC maker iBuyPower already unveiled its version of the Steam Machine late last year set to drop in 2014 for $499.
Valve expects to fully launch the open, Linux-based consoles later this year with third-party companies building the machines to different levels of power and price range. Valve's own prototypes were sent out to a lucky 300 beta testers last month.
