17-year-old Chirstopher Roupe was shot and killed by Georgia police after answering the door to his family's home.

Police claim Roupe was pointing a gun, Roupe's family claims the teen was watching a movie at home and was holding a Ninendo Wii Remote.

Christopher Roupe was going to enlist with the United States Marine Corps upon graduating from high school.

Euharlee, GA police were responding to the Roupe family's home to arrest Christopher's father on a charge of violation of probation. When Christopher answered the door, an unidentified police officer opened fire and killed Roupe with a single bullet.

Euharlee Police assert that the teen pointed a handgun directly at the arresting officer, and the officer responded by discharging her firearm.

"It just doesn't add up.” Attorney Cole Law told local news station WSBTV “He heard a knock at the door. He asked who it was, there was no response so he opened the door and upon opening the door he was immediately shot in the chest.”

The unidentified female officer, who has been placed on administrative leave, reportedly broke down at the scene after learning what had befallen Roupe.

The incident is under going review by the George Bureau of Investigation
