The awning of a Duane Reade near Union Square collapsed this morning, authorities say.
According to ABC New York, the awning came down around 9 a.m. in Greenwich Village. There's been no official word on what caused the collapse, but Gothamist suspects that it fell under the weight of a combination of ice and snow.
No injuries have been reported so far.
