But hey, nice to see her getting roles.

Really, it is nice to see Katrina Bowden getting more roles after 30 Rock ended in last year—first, the surprisingly bearable (and fun!) Nurse 3D, and now this, a new TNT drama called Public Morals, opposite Mob City star Ed Burns. It's kind of perfect timing, considering Mob City just got the ax yesterday.

That said...judging by this description from Variety, the role is sounding slightly cliché. From the site: "Bowden will play a seemingly sweet and innocent prostitute with street smart edge." Come on, guys, haven't we seen this role a million times before now? (Answer: Yes. Yes we have.

As for the show itself—that will surround New York City’s Public Morals Division in 1967, "where cops walk the line between morality and criminality as the temptations that comes from dealing with all kinds of vices can get the better of them." Something tells us that these "vices" will probably get the better of everyone. Drama!
