Titanfalldeveloper Respawn Software has confirmed that the final resolution of the mech parkor shooter will ship at 792p on the Xbox One. The same as the beta last month.

Despite experiments at Respawn to up or downgrade the resolution it seems to have been set lower than many would have expected. Earlier, developer spokespersons had stated that the final resolution could be higher but it seems the final was a compromise between power and playability. “we don't want to give up anything for higher res.”

How does this fit into your “resolutiongate” conspiracy theories? While Respawn will be shipping the game at the same resolution as the beta, the textures within the game will be vastly improved. Titanfall ships tomorrow, March 11, on the Xbox One and Windows PC.
