The most annoying trend taking over Hollywood is teasers for upcoming trailers. That’s right, now studios are releasing teaser videos to build up hype for new trailers, which in turn are used to hype up full-length movies. Basically it’s a trailer within a trailer, like something that popped out of the mind of Christopher Nolan. And this latest trailer teaser for X-Men: Days of Future Past might be the strangest one yet.
This video was posted to the film’s Instagram and features the main cast set up in a square grid, exactly like the opening credits for the Brady Bunch. It’s announcing that the new trailer for Days of Future Past will be online next week, but all we can think about is Peter Dinklage with hair of gold and Hugh Jackman shacking up with Sam the Butcher.
