Two artists have gone the extra mile to get people to think about the surveillance around them.

Kyle McDonald and Brian House placed hidden recording devices in lamps at a library, bank, bedroom, and a McDonald's in New York City. The devices are connected to Wi-Fi, and they've been transcribing the conversations around them and posting them to Twitter for seven months. The artists are calling their project Conversnitch, and while most of the conversations aren't about anything important, they're conversations that were thought to be private.
