Nintendo's plans for E3 this year includes events for fans attending the massive electronic convention as well as fans watching online and around the country. The company will throw a Super Smash Bros. for Wii Utournament at the Nokia Theater featuring 16 skilled players as well as at locations around the country.

This video produced by Mega64 and staring Nintendo of America's boss Reggie Fils-Aime as a giant fan-infested robot continues Nintendo's tradition of being delightfully weird. The video also announced a partnership with retailer Best Buy where gamers will get to play the unreleased Super Smash Bros. Wii U at participating locations.

Nintendo decided not to hold a traditional press event last year as well and instead opts for directly connecting to its fans through the Nintendo Direct program of live streaming events. Nintendo will still be present at E3 with the Nintendo Treehouse: Live @ E3, a series of daily livestreams from the company's booth direct to fans.
