Loosely translated from Cajun slang, the term “Bonnaroo” means “a really good time,” definitely an apt phrase for the four-day music mega-festival held this June 12-15. The festival is situated 60 miles southeast of Nashville in Manchester, Tenn., and hosts an extensive array of extremely diverse artists from Elton John to Danny Brown.
Bonnaroo, situated on a 700-acre farm (a huge open field with little to no shade would be more accurate) known as The Great Stage Park, is no conquest for the light-hearted. The festival occurs during the summer in Tennessee, in an open field.
