Joaquin Phoenix and Woody Allen, who both enjoyed critical acclaim this year for their movies Her and Blue Jasmine, respectively, will be teaming up in the near future and have agreed to a deal to make a film of their own.

Phoenix just wrapped up shooting another Paul Thomas Anderson movie (Inherent Vice) after previously working with the director on The Master. Allen, too, just completed another project; he was filming his new movie Magic in the Moonlight, a romantic comedy set in 1920s France starring Emma Stone, Colin Firth, and Marcia Gay Harden.

As with most Allen movies, there are exactly zero details available at present about the Phoenix/Allen project. You can be sure, though, that excitement will only build as little snippets of information begin to emerge.
