Patrick, a 10-year-old boy living in Saskatchewan, Canada, lives with a terminal form of brain cancer. His tragic story inspired the Children's Wish Foundation—a charity based out of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan—to fulfill Patrick's wish of experiencing a live-action Mario game.

The charity, which fulfills about 50 wishes a year for residents of Saskatchewan, enlisted Odyssey Productions, a local theater group, to play the parts of Bowser, Mario, and Peach while also providing a staged set-up for Mario to traverse through. In less than a week, 50 volunteers banded together to put the entire production together, and their hard work paid off. The "aww" factor is heavy in this video.

You can watch a video of the entire performance over on the CTV News-Saskatoon website
