Much like the thought provoking sidescroller Braid, where players work backwards in time to reveal the hidden, depressing meaning of the game, the film Donnie Darko deals with traversing time.

CineFix presents the 8-bit rework of the cult classic as a two dimensional arcade game that is no less frightening in its outcome. Even a similarly chilling ending just like in Braid. The video highlights some of the most iconic moments including the rabbit suited Frank and the burning down of Jim Cunningham's house  (played by Patrick Swayze in the film) all wrapped up with a chiptune version of “Mad World” that will you goosebumps.
