Elderly Couple Stole from Church Collection Boxes Out of Boredom

Idle hands are the devil's tool.

Authorities in Switzerland say an elderly couple owned up to stealing from churches for a period of time, all because they were bored.

According to BBC News, the couple started stealing Swiss francs from church collections boxes in Lucerne back in November. Bonnie and Clyde here conducted their robberies in a rather simple manner: the husband would play lookout while the woman emptied the boxes.

The couple is reportedly in a very good financial place, so they certainly didn't need the money, they just lived for the thrill. But, at 70 and 73, they should know better. The law isn't going easy on them either, as they've both been arrested. Who robs churches? Seriously, who does that?

When you get to a certain point in life, things probably gets tedious. There's nothing wrong with starting a bucket list, but it probably shouldn't include a string of robberies. Just saying.
