Remember the good old days, when Dakota Fanning was just that little girl shrieking non-stop in every movie? Well, she’s moved on to affairs with men old enough to be her grandfather.
At least, that’s the central idea behind The Last of Robin Hood, a based-on-a-true-story tale that details the May-December romance between Fanning’s Beverly Aadland and Errol Flynn, portrayed by Kevin Kline. Susan Sarandon also stars as Fanning’s mother, who seems more interested in advancing her daughter’s career than the fact that she is having an affair with a guy nearly thrice her age.
The movie debuted at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival, and will hit theaters on August 29. The first trailer—which should probably make you squirm because of the creepy subject matter—can be seen above.
